Four tools, or one otter?
For a solo founder with 5 apps and about 50k pageviews a month, Plausible, UptimeRobot, Sentry and Baremetrics cost $153 a month together at monthly prices. BugOtter Builder does those four jobs for $29, in one list. The stack still wins if you need session replay, a team, or dunning.

The math, per tool
One realistic case: 5 apps, about 50k pageviews a month in total, one founder. Each tool at the cheapest plan that actually fits.
| Option | Part | Cost | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| The four tools | Plausible | $39 | Business, 100k pageviews. Plausible has no 50k tier, so ~50k pageviews means the 100k tier. Starter is one site and Growth is up to 3, so 5 sites needs Business. |
| The four tools | UptimeRobot | $10 | Solo, 10 monitors. Free checks every 5 minutes. Solo is the cheapest plan with 60-second checks, SSL monitoring and a status page on your own domain. |
| The four tools | Sentry | $29 | Team. The free Developer plan is one user and 5k errors. Team is the entry paid plan, with 50k errors. |
| The four tools | Baremetrics | $75 | Launch. Launch covers up to $360K ARR with one billing integration. The plan card says $75 a month; the FAQ on the same page says it starts at $49. |

The stack's floor, even on both free plans
Two of the four have free plans a careful solo founder can live on: Sentry's Developer plan (one user, 5k errors a month) and UptimeRobot's Free plan (checks every 5 minutes, allowed for commercial projects). With both, the stack is still $114 a month for analytics and revenue alone.
Baremetrics' yearly figure uses the $49 “starts at” price from their FAQ; their page also says annual plans get “up to a 35% discount”. Sentry's yearly price is “when billed annually with default pre-paid data”. DataFast would replace Plausible here at the same price (see the DataFast comparison). What one list changes
Price is the easy part. The bigger difference is that the four jobs stop living in four tabs.
With the stack, a bad morning looks like this: an UptimeRobot email says an app was down at 3am, Sentry has a new error from yesterday's deploy, and Baremetrics shows a failed payment. You connect the dots yourself, per tool, per app.
In BugOtter those are three lines in one list, each with the app's name, sorted by what needs you.

- The next thing that needs you, first: here a new error on /pricing, with how many visitors hit it.
- Fix with agent hands it to Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, with the stack and the context.
- Four jobs, one row: uptime, visitors, revenue and errors for the same week, so a dip has its cause next to it.
Questions none of the four can answer alone
Because the data sits together:
What did that outage cost?
The visitors you'd normally get in those hours, times your usual revenue per visitor. Shown as an estimate, and only when there's enough data.Did the deploy make it worse?
Errors per 100 visits, new error types, response time and paid conversion in the hours after a deploy, against the day before.Who did this error hurt?
For errors from the BugOtter script: the visits that hit it, the paying customers among them, and people who reached checkout and didn't buy.Which post brought customers who stayed?
Revenue by traffic source, from your actual payments, not from events you send.
Your coding agent gets the same view. Connect the BugOtter MCP server once and Claude Code, Cursor or Codex can ask “what's broken across my apps?” and get one answer, instead of you pasting from four dashboards.

Questions
How much does the usual monitoring stack cost a solo founder?
For 5 apps and about 50k pageviews a month, Plausible Business ($39), UptimeRobot Solo ($10), Sentry Team ($29) and Baremetrics Launch ($75) come to $153 a month at monthly prices, or about $116.50 a month billed yearly. Prices checked Nov 4, 2026 on each tool's pricing page.
Which BugOtter plan fits 5 apps?
Builder: $29 a month or $24 a month billed yearly. It covers 10 awake apps, 200k pageviews and 50k errors a month across all of them, uptime checks every minute, and 1 year of history. Apps you put to sleep don't count.
Can I keep one of my current tools and use BugOtter for the rest?
Yes. Each module can be turned off per account, and nothing breaks if you only use some. A common setup is to keep Sentry for performance tracing and session replay, and move analytics, revenue and uptime to BugOtter.
Is BugOtter as deep as each specialist tool?
No, and it isn't trying to be. Sentry has tracing, profiling and replay. Baremetrics has dunning, cancellation insights and forecasting add-ons. UptimeRobot has SMS and voice-call alerts and 30-second checks. BugOtter covers what a solo founder checks every day, for every app, in one place.
Do I lose my history if I switch?
You can bring analytics history from a Plausible or Umami export. Revenue starts from your current subscriptions and the last 90 days of payments, read from your payment provider when you connect it. Uptime and error history start fresh on BugOtter.
